Brief
This is a story about a person suffering from Alzheimer's disease. My grandma has been experiencing Alzheimer's for more than a decade. As time went on, her symptoms worsened, from memory loss to changes in mood and personality.
Concept
My goal is to illustrate the progression of Alzheimer's disease from my grandma’s perspective. The disease destroys signals in the brain which terminated her connection with the outside world. As the sequence goes on, objects in the room fade away as neurons further calcify, culminating in her loss of self-consciousness and being trapped in her mind.

Research on Alzheimer's
Changes in the brain can begin years before the first symptoms appear. Scientists don‘t fully understand what causes Alzheimer’s disease yet.
